Cricket Australia announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming test series against India starting in December. The team will face India under the captaincy of Tim Paine and youngsters Will Pucovski and Cameron Green have also been included in the side. The other uncapped test players on the side led by Tim Paine are fast pitcher Sean Abbott, whose goalie had accidentally hit Phil Hughes during a Sheffield Shield game in 2014, leading to his tragic death, the player from bowling Mitchell Swepson and all-rounder Michael Neser. .

In recent times, the great Australians of the past have called for Pucovski to be selected on the team following his hot streak in national cricket: the 22-year-old scored successive doubles centuries in his two Shield appearances.
His inclusion creates competition with fellow starter Joe Burns, who is feeling the heat after a disastrous start to the first-class summer.

According to the cricket board, the selectors chose the expanded team considering the biosafety centers on which the team will be based and the need to plan player substitutions on short notice if necessary.

Speaking of the selection, CA National Selector Trevor Hohns said in an official statement: “What we saw in the early rounds of the Marsh Sheffield Shield was a number of players who performed exceptionally well.
