Coronavirus-infected patients can complete isolation at home after 17 days of symptom onset or sampling date and without fever for 10 days without retesting for Covid-19, according to revised guidelines for home isolation of very mild / pre-symptomatic cases.

The treating medical officer should clinically assign the patient as a very mild or pre-symptomatic case and should regularly report his or her health to the district surveillance officer for subsequent monitoring by surveillance teams.
“The patient in home isolation will complete home isolation after 17 days of symptom onset (or sampling date, for pre-symptomatic cases) and fever free for 10 days. No need for testing after the period of home isolation ends. ” the revised guidelines stated.
