The national count of confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached 67,152 on Monday and the number of deaths exceeded the 2,200 mark after more than 4,000 positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours from various states.

According to the Monday morning update from the Ministry of Health, there are 44,029 active cases in the country, while 20,917 people have recovered. 2206 people have succumbed to the deadly virus to date in India.

Meanwhile, the Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that no case of coronavirus has been reported in 10 states and Union territories in the past 24 hours and the recovery rate has increased to more than 30 percent, while claiming that India has moved rapidly on the path of success in fighting the pandemic.

Indian railways, on the other hand, said Sunday that they will. gradually resume passenger train services starting May 12 and will ask passengers to arrive at the station at least one hour before departure.
