NEW DELHI: Delhi government to provide second round of Rs 5,000 financial assistance to city construction workers, most of whom have been out of work since the closure began and have no hope of their lives coming back soon. As part of the lockdown relaxations, on-site construction activities have been allowed in the capital, but the relaxations must still lift up construction workers, who have not left the city in hopes that the bad times will pass soon. , of misery. Most small construction projects in the capital do not have enough space to keep workers on site, so they are closed even after the relaxations were allowed.

“The government decided to change the procedure for the new registration. We have decided that from 15 to 25 May we will open the registration online. The link of the online website will be shared with everyone. Workers can register through this link and upload photocopies of your documents. After May 25 we will verify all these applications, then we will call the applicants to the labor department, 50 per day to present their original documents, “said the minister. The online registration link will be shared by the government soon.
Clearing the ambiguity about who can register, the government stated that according to the laws, carpenters, worker mills, site guards, people who work on concrete mixers, the crane operator, the electrician, the comp operator , bricklayer, stone installers, welders, coolies and others can apply, the government said.
