Coronavirus | RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das Tests Positive for COVID-19


Mr. Das says that he is asymptomatic and will continue to work from isolation.

The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Shaktikanta Das, said on October 25 that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and will continue to work from isolation.

Das said he is asymptomatic and has alerted those in contact with him in recent days.

“I have tested positive for COVID-19. Asymptomatic I feel very good. They have alerted those who came into contact in recent days. He will continue working from isolation. Work at RBI will continue normally. I am in contact with all Dy. Governors and other officials via VC and over the phone, ”he tweeted.

Currently, the RBI has four Vice Governors BP Kanungo, MK Jain, MD Patra and M. Rajeshwar Rao.

The RBI governor was quite active during the lockdown period and the post-unlock period to keep the economy and financial market in good shape.

He used both conventional and unconventional monetary policy tools to support the economic recovery hit by the COVID-19 crisis.
