NEW DELHI: Within days of sealing the Delhi-Noida border to stem the surge in COVID-19 coronavirus cases, Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate on Friday night lifted the ban on the movement of doctors and other paramedical staff across the country. Delhi-Noida border.
In his tweet, DM Suhas LY wrote: “It is clarified that the movement of the following medical personnel is allowed between Delhi and Noida according to exemption provision number 1 in the border closure order 4/21/2020. We salute the warriors of the crown for your continued effort and request that you stay at home.
The tweet clarified that doctors and paramedics who have COVID-19 service passes issued by the Government of India, the Government of Delhi and the Government of UP can cross the border.
Another exemption is if the vehicle carries a COVID-19 pass issued by the Government of India / Delhi / UP, then the identification card issued by the hospital / government organization in question will be sufficient to allow access for such workers.
In addition, those who work in medical institutions like AIIMS, Safdarganj, RML, Military Hospital are also allowed under this provision.

On April 21, the Delhi-Noida border was completely sealed and only people who were granted special passes were allowed to cross the border. An increase in COVID-19 cases was cited as the reason for the decision.
The order had stated that most of the patients who tested positive had had some connections to Delhi, according to a report released by doctors.
Meanwhile, the number of positive cases in Noida and Greater Noida has crossed over 100 with up to 28 critical points.
