Sriram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Secretary General Champat Rai said on Friday that the solution to the problem caused by a stream in the Saryu River at the site where the Ram temple foundations will be built will be found in a week.
A team of experts from IIT was working on it, he said.
Rai also told reporters at Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s office that construction on the temple would begin on January 14.
He said that the temple would be built with a special combination of stone and copper to keep it intact for a long time. With this method, the construction cost would multiply increase. Therefore, a goal was set to raise funds by reaching out to 11 million people. More than four lakhs of VHP workers would be dedicated to raising money.
He said that Mirzapur stones were likely used in the temple foundations, as they were strong.
Rai said on Thursday that Karsevakpuram was cleared to store the stones that would soon arrive in Ayodhya from Mirzapur.
Coding of around 70 percent of stones had already been done, which had been molded for the construction of the temple at Ram Janmabhoomi Karyashala.
