Congress will formulate its strategy for Parliament’s monsoon session, which begins September 14, in a meeting on Tuesday.

The party parliament strategy group meeting will be chaired by Congress Speaker Sonia Gandhi and will be attended by Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, AK Antony, Ahmed Patel, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Manickam Tagore, and Ravneet Singh Bittu.

Sonia Gandhi is also the president of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP).

At the meeting, Congress will discuss the issues that will be raised in both Houses during the session, such as the border confrontation with China in Ladakh and the alleged nexus of Facebook with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the management of the Covid government. -19 the pandemic, the economic crisis and the fall of the GDP, the compensation of the GST to the states, the loss of jobs and the agrarian anguish. The party will raise the issue of the sale of 32 public sector companies and the handover of railways and airports to individuals.

A congressional official said the party will speak with other like-minded opposition parties to present a united front in Parliament on all critical issues facing the country. A meeting of the opposition parties is expected to be held later this week.

Opposition leaders are willing to work closely to take on the government in Parliament.
