The Maharashtra Congress has again questioned Bollywood’s ongoing drug abuse investigation by the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) and reiterated its demand for an investigation into producer Sandip Ssingh’s alleged links to drug trafficking. . The renewed lawsuit comes shortly after a search by Bengaluru police of actor Vivek Oberoi’s home in Mumbai on Thursday.
In a series of tweets on Friday morning, Maharashtra Congressional General Secretary and Speaker Sachin Sawant reiterated suggestions that central investigative agencies may be deliberately protecting Oberoi and Sandip Ssingh, who together had produced a film. biographical on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“He had required NCB to investigate the BJP drug connection in Bollywood. In my questions to NCB, I specifically mentioned the name of Aditya Alva found in the Sandalwood drug trade, who is the brother-in-law of Vivek Oberoi, who is a partner in Sandeep Ssingh. But NCB ignored it, ”he tweeted Friday morning.
Furthermore, he alleged that the Gujarat government led by the BJP may have favored the duo.
“But now the Bengaluru police have raided the home of Vivek Oberoi, who is not only a co-producer of Narendra Modi Biopic, but also played the role of Modi ji. Several Qns have not yet responded as to why only this company was chosen to sign an MOU by the Guj government, ”read another of their tweets.

Sawant wanted to know why the complaints against Sandeep Ssingh were being ignored.
“Not only we, BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy, tweeted demanding Ssingh’s investigation and why he frequently visits Dubai. NCB has been summoning Bollywood actors, but the demand for the Ssingh investigation is being ignored, ”Sawant said and asked why even Kangana Ranaut was not questioned by the central agency.
Sawant will meet with Maharashtra Interior Minister Anil Deshmukh this afternoon to ask him to demand that the NCB investigate these allegations.

However, BJP has denied the claims and challenged Sawant to present the evidence in an appropriate forum.
“You are free to present the evidence, if any, to the investigating agency or to the courts. BJP never protects any wrongdoer and the search at Oberoi’s house is an example of the same. The integrity or sincerity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot be questioned. The accusations by the leaders of Congress are malicious and born out of frustrations, ”said Madhu Chavan, a BJP spokesperson.
Sandip Ssingh has yet to respond to the allegations.
