Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday once again urged the people of the country to make India self-sufficient. Addressing the nation in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi focused on toys to make this dream come true.
“The global toy industry is over 7 lakh crore rupees, but India’s share is very small. We will have to work to increase it, ”he said.
The prime minister said he was thinking of children during the Covid-19 lockdown and held talks with industry representatives to increase production of indigenous toys.
He also called on start-up entrepreneurs to “unite for toys,” and said it is time to make your voice heard for local toys. “Come on, let’s play,” Prime Minister Modi said in the 68th edition of his monthly radio address.

He also said that the new National Education Policy also focuses on children’s toys to nurture their creativity and innovation quotient.
The prime minister also asked young entrepreneurs to develop computer games in and around India.
He spoke about an App Innovation Challenge held earlier this month in which many indigenous apps won high honors. “Everyone recognizes the ability of the Indians to offer innovation, solutions. And when there is dedication and sensitivity, this power becomes limitless, ”he said.
“Under the innovation challenge of the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat app, there is an app called Kutuki Kids Learning app. This is an interactive application for children in which they can easily learn many aspects of mathematics, science through songs and stories, ”he said. The prime minister also listed other similar apps on different topics.
Prime Minister Modi also praised the discipline shown by the people of India during the festival season, which will help to control the spread of Covid-19.
“We have seen unprecedented restraint and simplicity in our festivals during the times of Covid-19,” said Prime Minister Modi. “People are being responsible. They are showing great discipline in holding festivals. “

He also congratulated farmers for increasing the planting area of different grains. “Our lives and our society are powered solely by the power of agriculture. Our farmers have proven their worth even during the Covid-19 pandemic, ”he said.
The prime minister spoke about the importance of nutrition and said that it is the duty of all citizens to eat healthy food. Prime Minister Modi said that in addition to children, women should also have healthy food.
“We have a saying ‘Yatha Annam Tatha Mannam’. It means that our mental and intellectual development is directly related to the quality of our food intake, ”said PM Modi.
He ended Mann Ki Baat’s speech by wishing people good health and urging them to stay safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
