Noida: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya will meet with some of the top names in the Bollywood industry today (September 22) to discuss plans for the next film city in the state. The meeting will take place at the CM residence.

Several actors, directors and producers will arrive today at the CM Yogi residence to participate in the meeting. This will be the first gathering of its kind to be held after Yogi Adityanath’s announcement to turn India’s “largest and most beautiful” film city into Gautam Buddh Nagar.

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet is believed to approve the construction of Film City after the high-level meeting.

Earlier Monday, CM Yogi Adityanath, during a meeting to review Meerut Division development projects, had instructed officials to search for suitable land in or around Noida, Greater Noida or Yamuna Expressway and prepared an action plan. The UP government has sought a land proposal for the film city from three different authorities.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) sent on Sunday (September 20, 2020) to the state government the proposal to establish the city of cinema to the state government.

On the other hand, the Noida Authority also sent a proposal for 500 acres of land to the government for the construction of Film City. This land belongs to Sector 162.164.165.166. The 200 acres are still occupied by the authority, the rest is also in the acquisition area.

There is reportedly a plan to establish the film city in Sector-21 of the Yamuna Highway Industrial Development area, for which, about 1000 acres of land have been made available and 780 acres of area proposed. industrial.

The location has been chosen because it is located along the Yamuna Highway and is about 6 km from the Noida International Airport in Jewar to be built and is well connected to the railway. It is also close to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and is close to India’s only Formula 1 track, the Gautam Buddha International Circuit.
