CBSE class 10, 12 board exam dates 2021: After social media posts claiming that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 would be held in March went viral, CBSE released a clarification stating that the schedule has not yet finalized. While the board’s official statement asks interested parties not to believe such information, it was the Minister of Education who hinted at several changes to the board’s exams this year.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, in his address to students and other stakeholders on Thursday, said that exam delays are likely and that the rule of taking exams in March might not be true if the coronavirus pandemic it is not under control. He also said that there may be a alternative to practical exams this year as schools remain closed throughout the academic session due to the pandemic.
Also, there are many changes to the exam questionnaire this year. The question document will be more application-based where the type of objective or MCQs could increase considerably, as previously reported on indianexpress.com. In reference to these changes, the minister said that students will have enough time to prepare for the meetings and the dates will be announced well in advance.
CBSE also in its latest circular said: “CBSE is very aware of the condition of students and parents at the time of the pandemic and therefore any decision made by CBSE that will only be made after consulting with all stakeholders and be communicated at the appropriate time through the Board’s website. “
