Patna:
Hours before a formal media briefing for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar today, the BJP issued an emphatic statement in support of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “Only those who accept Nitish Kumar’s leadership in Bihar will remain in the NDA,” the Bihar chief of the BJP said in an apparent message to Chirag Paswan’s ally, who recently stated that his party would compete on its own and fight Nitish Kumar. in state polls this month. .
“The leader of the NDA in Bihar is Nitish Kumar. The BJP accepts his leadership in Bihar and everyone in the NDA must accept his leadership. The BJP will do everything possible to make him the Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar will become the Chief Minister with a three-quarters majority, “said Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal.
After the short statement, he withdrew without answering questions.
Sources say the clarification, which came three days after Chirag Paswan’s decision, was ordered by top party leaders.

The party will also make it clear to Chirag Paswan that his Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) cannot use images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his campaign.
Chirag Paswan has said that while he stands firm with the BJP and PM Modi, he will fight against Nitish Kumar’s candidates and ensure their defeat.
“Nitish Kumar does not listen to anyone. Our alliance with Nitish Kumar was an obligation. I have opposed him since 2013, when I entered politics,” Paswan told NDTV this morning.
In his decision to go solo, many saw the unspoken blessings of the BJP. The BJP, it was speculated, would use this card to keep Nitish Kumar in check.
But Nitish Kumar and his Janata Dal United (JDU) have been upset by Chirag Paswan’s outspoken attacks and the apparent lack of response from the BJP. Days later, the Paswan, Chirag Paswan’s father, Ram Vilas Paswan, is a central minister, they still remain in the NDA.
Last night, BJP and Nitish Kumar finalized a 50:50 seat sharing agreement for the 243 seat Bihar assembly.
But Chirag Paswan’s relentless attacks have apparently irritated the BJP’s main ally in Bihar and forced the BJP to make a public gesture of support, albeit belated.
“Our alliance with LJP is in Delhi, not Bihar. BJP’s alliance in Bihar is with JDU,” said a Bihar BJP leader.
He also said that the LJP motto was not acceptable: “Modi I know nahin, Nitish teri khair nahin (We have no differences with Modi, but Nitish, you are gone) “.
