Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D’Souza suffered a heart attack on Friday (December 11) afternoon. He is currently admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. His wife Lizelle is present with him at the hospital.
According to a report from ABP LIVE, the choreographer underwent angiography and is currently admitted to the ICU.
“On Friday morning, Remo was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital due to a heart problem. There were some blockages due to the doctors performing angioplasty. Now he is fine, according to the doctors. We are here, he is my family friend and we assure you that please don’t worry, everything is under control, ”Remo’s friend Mahesh Kukreja told IANS.
Earlier today, Remo had taken to Instagram to share a poster for his music video titled Dil Na Todunga, featuring Siddarth Gupta and Karishma Sharma. “Some hearts are understood in silence, while others are broken in silence. But sometimes all the love makes you do, is the promise that #dilnatodunga. #Dilnatodunga teaser is now available 👉🏼”, captioned the poster on Instagram.
Remo had gone from choreographer to film director with FALTU and later directed ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, ABCD 2 and Race 3.
Remo last directed Street Dancer 3D, with actors Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. He also recently appeared on reality shows such as India’s Best Dancer, The Kapil Sharma Show, and Bigg Boss 14 as a guest.
