Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, CGBSE has declared the results of class 10, 12 today. The board has also released the overall pass percentage, CGBSE toppers 2020 list, and other details. This year around 6 lakh candidates have appeared in the examination, including 3.84 lakh candidates for class 10 and 2.66 lakh candidates for class 12.
Pragya Kashyap topped the class 10 board exam and secured 100 percent marks. Prashantha Rajput secured second position in class 10 with 99.33% and Bharti Yadav in class 10 with 98.6%. For class 12, Tikesh Vaishnav topped the exam with 97.80% marks. Shriya Aggarwal finished second with 97% and Tanu Yadav finished third in the state in class 12 with 96.06%. See the result here
Class 10 topper Pragya Kashyap and class 12 topper Tikesh Vaishnav are both from Mungeli district. Pragya studies in a government school and her father is a teacher Shivkumar is a teacher in a government school in Kawardha. Tikesh is the son of a paan shop owner. He studied for 6-8 hours and his teachers helped him a lot to achieve this success.
The overall passing percentage for class 12 is 70.69% and for class 10 is 73.62%. This year girls have fared better than boys for class 12 and class 10. The pass percentage for class 10 for girls is 78.38% and for boys 70.53% and for girls pass percentage of class 12 is 82.02%.
The passing percentage for class 10 has increased compared to the previous year when it was 68 percent, while the passing percentage of class 12 decreased from the previous year. Last year’s pass percentage was 78 percent.
