The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is working with states on a “One Product, One District” program, where each district in the country will focus its energies on reaching its own products of excellence, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday. .
Goyal spoke in the statement of the classification of the states and territories of the union (UT) in terms of ease of doing business.
Goyal said the central government hopes to add manufacturing output worth at least ₹Rs 20 million lakh in the next five years.
“We have identified 24 products in association with the industry, we are sure to add at least ₹Rs 20 crore lakhs of manufacturing output over the next five years will create jobs, expand economic activity and pave the way to India’s rightful place, “he added.
Goyal further said, “India has made significant progress in the past five years under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in enhancing our ease of doing business.”
In addition, he affirmed that the States Business Reform Action Plan is a reflection of the confidence that the states have, that they can do better and work for the prosperity of the people. The ranking reflects the effort that different states are making to improve their systems and processes, he said.
“We all believe that cooperation on the one hand and competition on the other will collectively lead the nation more rapidly toward a $ 5 trillion economy by 2025,” Goyal said.
