Celebrities change their Twitter photos in gratitude to the Maharashtra police

As the city that never sleeps experienced calm as never before, the Mumbai Police have risked their own lives to ensure that the national blockade is implemented and followed. While the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, the state police force has remained hopeful and has helped those in need.

On that note, the Minister of the Interior of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh sparked a movement on twitter, urging users to change their profile photos to Maharashtra Police logo. He tweeted: “The Maharashtra police have supported the citizens through calamities, attacks and disasters. Today, as they lead the war against Corona in the streets, I have decided to celebrate them by changing my DP on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. to the Maharashtra police logo. Join me in this effort (sic). ”

Bollywood politicians, sports personalities and celebrities did the same. From cricket players like Virat Kohli and Dhawal Kulkarni to a lot of celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Dia Mirza and Akshay Kumar Among many, his images showed a touch of navy blue.

Virat Kohli wrote: “The Maharashtra police have supported the citizens through calamities, attacks and disasters. Today, as they lead the war against Corona on the streets, I have decided to celebrate them by changing my DP here on Twitter to the police logo of Maharashtra. Join me in this effort. ”

Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh also joined the initiative. Akshay Kumar wrote: “I greet the @MumbaiPolice Stables, Chandrakant Pendurkar and Sandip Surve, who put their lives in the fight against Corona. I have done my duty, I hope you will too. Let’s not forget that we are safe and alive thanks to them ”
