CBSE class 10 exams have been suspended for 2020 in subjects where they have not been taken, although students from northeast Delhi, who missed exams in which other students have already appeared, will be required to sit for these, Human Resources Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced Tuesday when he interacted with students about his concerns.
However, CBSE will be conducting the Class XII Board exams in 12 subjects, with the timeline for these, and pending Class 10 exams (in northeast Delhi) will also be announced shortly. Authorities say CBSE is soon expected to order the evaluation of the answer sheets. Students in northeast Delhi missed some Class X exams due to communal unrest in the area.
The JEE engineering entrance examination will take place from July 18 to 23, while the NEET medical entrance examination will take place on July 26, the minister added. The two crucial exams, and also the Class X and Class XII exams were postponed due to the blockade imposed to combat the spread of Covid-19.
