The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak in a session of questions and answers of the round that was held on a national television on Tuesday said the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), waiting for the board examination to be held in the schools where students are enrolled to ensure a minimum of travel for them. He added that the tests were conducted in the midst of strict standards of social distancing.
Reported that the evaluation process has already begun for the examination board and will continue to be held simultaneously with pending exams. He said the board is trying to release the results “soon and efforts are being made to declare the result by July-end in itself.” It is noteworthy that the exams will end on 15 July.

To ensure quick results, the HRD has announced that teachers who are involved in the process of assessment will be exempted from the delivery of academic and administrative work of the land tenure. The CBSE class 10 and class 12 board examination is conducted from home. In addition, the HRD Ministry had intended 3000 assessment centres where the answer sheets would be distributed to the teachers in their homes for evaluation and collected.
Regarding the concerns of the stakeholders for the safety of students during the examinations board, the minister had previously reported that the students will be asked to sit further away than usual to maintain a safe distance. Also, masks and disinfectants going to be a need for the students. The Minister of Health Harsh Vardhan had also raised concerns via Twitter about CBSE board examinations and the HRD Minister had assured that the ministry of health guidelines should be strictly followed during the tests.

For those who clear the CBSE exam, the new session will also be carried out in the midst of security measures, Nishank informed. “There are 33 million rupees to the students and parents, it becomes 99 crore and these are all curious about when you plan to reopen the school and how these functions. We have yet to decide on re-opening dates, but have asked NCERT to create a framework on how to re-open the institutes of education. UGC is also the creation of a framework for institutes of higher education. The health of the students is our priority,” he said.

The minister had previously reported that the modification of the seats and the division of the class into different sections could be one of the main features of the schools re-open after locking. It is very possible that classes would be able to incapacitate only 30 percent of the students who used to have before of coronavirus, had been informed.
“The first stage is to provide online education. NCERT has in the meantime established an alternative framework to ensure a standardized, balanced, and the quality of education for students,” he said adding, “We are making all efforts to ensure that neither the students have to miss their education or the quality deteriorate.” The schools have been closed since mid-March, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
