CBSE date sheet not published, don’t follow ‘fake’ calendar: Government


Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced Thursday the Board exams for CBSE classes 10 and 12 will be held in May-June and not from March to April of this year. The delay is due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent loss of instructional hours due to it. For CBSE, the exams will take place between May 4 and June 10, however authorities have not yet released the exact date or time.

While the minister had stated that it would be released soon, the government’s GDP fact-checking arm issued a tweet reiterating the same. In the tweet, officials have also shared a date sheet drawn up on the same lines as the posted dates. However, this one that circulates on social media platforms is false.

“A date sheet for the 2020-21 class 12 and 10 exams supposedly issued by the #CBSE is in circulation on social media. #PIBFactCheck: This date sheet is #Fake. Although, RP Nishank has announced that the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams will be held from May 4 to June 10, 2021, ”the tweet read.

While the announcement of dates has brought some relief to students and academics, to begin course preparation based on the date sheet and inter-course vacation schedule, students will have to wait a little longer.

In the meantime, for the benefit of the students, the board has decided to test in a reduced curriculum. The CBSE has cut 30 percent of the curriculum for students in classes 10 and 12. There will also be internal elections. the The exam will also have more application-based questions. to make sure students do not assault.
