After several social media posts went viral stating that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 will take place in March, CBSE released a clarification stating that it has not yet finalized the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021.

The CBSE asked interested parties not to believe in this information that floats on social media. On December 10, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ interacted with students and other stakeholders through a webinar and hinted at many changes to the board exams this year.

During their interaction, the Minister of Education made it clear that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 may be delayed and the exams may not be held in March if the coronavirus pandemic is not controlled. Pokhriyal hinted that the CBSE may opt for an alternative to practical exams in 2021 as most schools across the country remained closed for the entire academic session due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In addition, the question paper will also see several changes in 2021. It is known that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams question paper will be more application-based and the type of goal or MCQ could increase considerably.

The minister also referred to these changes and assured the students that they will have enough time to prepare for the meetings. Pokhriyal said that the dates for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams will be announced well in advance.

CBSE in its latest circular said: “CBSE is very aware of the condition of students and parents at the time of the pandemic and therefore any decision that the CBSE would make will only be made after consulting with all stakeholders. and will be communicated at the appropriate time through the Board’s website. “

Pokhriyal told the students, “We are with you” and all decisions will be made with the interests of the students in mind.

A few months ago, CBSE had reduced the curriculum for Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 as classes were not held in this academic session due to the lockdown imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus in India.

Approximately 30 lakh students appear for the CBSE board exams each year. In 2019, 31.14 lakh of students had signed up for the CBSE board exams.
