Days after the Center made a big decision on the JEE-Main 2021 exam schedule, the Union’s Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal made several important announcements on Tuesday. Pokhriyal took to the microblogging site Twitter to interact live with the teachers.

There has been much speculation about the date and timing hoping that the Center will make an important announcement about the board exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Education Ministry was previously scheduled to make the announcement on December 17, but it was postponed to December 22, considering the overwhelming response.

On Twitter, the Education Ministry said that the board’s exams won’t take place until February. He added that the decision on the dates of the exams will be made later after holding a meeting and discussing this later.

Regarding online tests, he said that such test methods might not be correct. He added that for the online exams a laptop, electricity and stable internet for each student is a challenge.

He dismissed calls about canceling exams and promoting students without taking exams, adding that students might have a problem in the future. He said the board’s examinations will take place, but at a postponed date. Class 10 and 12 board exams will not be held in January or February 2021.

He also said that India is the first country to introduce AI at the school level. The minister praised CBSE stating that it has trained 4.80 lakh of teachers in teaching online education. On reducing the curriculum, he said that it will not be reduced further as CBSE has already reduced the curriculum by 30 percent.

While the Ministry of Education has yet to announce the end date sheet for the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12, it has clarified that the exam will be conducted in pencil and paper mode only.

As part of the central government’s initiative to conduct examinations on time during the coronavirus pandemic, the Minister of Education has planned a trialogue with students, parents and teachers from across the country.

After several social media posts went viral stating that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 exams will take place in March, CBSE released a clarification stating that it has not yet finished the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams. 2021.

The minister also referred to these changes and assured the students that they will have enough time to prepare for the meetings. Pokhriyal said that the dates for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams will be announced well in advance.

CBSE in its latest circular said: “CBSE is very aware of the condition of students and parents at the time of the pandemic and therefore any decision that the CBSE would make will only be made after consulting with all stakeholders. and will be communicated at the appropriate time through the Board’s website. “

A few months ago, CBSE had reduced the curriculum for Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 as classes were not held in this academic session due to the lockdown imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus in India. Around 30 lakh of students sit for the CBSE board exams each year. In 2019, 31.14 lakh of students had registered for the CBSE board exams.
