Amid mounting speculation about CBSE Class 10, 12 Board exam dates, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will hold a live session with teachers from across the country at 4 p.m. Thursday. (Dec 17) to address inquiries about the upcoming 2021 CBSE Board exams.

Sources said the Minister of Education can use the webinar to announce the 2021 dates of the CBSE Board Exams class 10 and 12. Previously, Pokhriyal had held a similar discussion with students on December 10 to clarify the things around CBSE board exams, syllabus, and other exam related topics.

During his last webinar, the Minister of Education had told students that the central government is giving equal importance to the education and safety of students amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For us, your education and your safety are equally important to us. First, your safety is important, and then next to it is your education. The little inconvenience that the students have experienced during the confinement will eventually go away, ”he said.

During their interaction, the Minister of Education made it clear that the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 may be delayed and the exams may not be held in March if the coronavirus pandemic is not controlled. Pokhriyal hinted that the CBSE may opt for an alternative to practical exams in 2021, as most schools across the country remained closed throughout the academic session due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Meanwhile, the Union Minister of Education announced on Wednesday evening the JEE-Main exam schedule and the number of times the exams will be held in 2021.

Pokhriyal announced that the JEE-Main exams will be held four times a year: February, March, April and May. The first exam will take place between February 23 and 26.

“Students will be able to take the exam at their own discretion at any time in these four shifts. They will be able to choose the month of the exam according to their choice. A student takes the exam four times, in which the best of four will be counted,” Pokhriyal said .

Previously, Pokhriyal had said that it examined the suggestions received to conduct JEE-Mains 2021 and the schedule will be announced accordingly.
