CBSE 2021 exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly changed the question paper pattern for Class XII board exams, focusing more on multiple-choice questions and those based on case studies.

In particular, several schools, after the publication of sample questions for Classes X and XII, observed that the weighting of the EMP has increased by 10%. The new pattern is reportedly intended to test students’ ability to understand.

The board has reduced the curriculum for classes 10 and 12 by 30 percent because at least 4-5 chapters have been reduced in each subject. Because of this, children will have to read fewer programs. The change will be implemented from this session.

The board also posted sample documents on its official website. If one looks at the sample papers, the pattern of marks can be easily understood.

To explain the grading pattern to students, schools will conduct pre-board exams and review tests, based on the latest sample document released by the board.

According to the board, in subjects with 70 and 80 points, students must obtain a minimum of 23 and 26 points respectively to pass the paper.

The practical exam will be of 30 points in which the student must obtain at least points to pass it.

The practical exam will be number 30. In which 9 numbers must be brought, while only 23 numbers will be required to pass the 70 number practical exam.
Except for practical subjects, there will also be an internal evaluation of 20 points for the 10th and 12th grades; for which a student must obtain a minimum of 6 points to pass it.

The CBSE Board has made the latest Class 12 grading pattern available to schools.

In the meantime, the board has published the tentative dates for the class XII practical exam. According to the call, the practical exams will take place from January 1 to February 8.
