JAIPUR: The Bharatiya Tribal Party on Wednesday he withdrew his support for the organization led by Ashok Gehlot Congressional government in Rajasthan.
the BTP, a congressional ally who supported Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during his party’s revolt earlier this year, was upset that the ruling party’s candidates chose Bjp over zila pramukh elections in tribal Dungarpur district, where the team is trying to expand its influence.
“The BTP had supported the Ashok Gehlot government at the time of the crisis, but Congress betrayed the party in the zila pramukh elections. Congress joined the BJP to prevent the BTP from forming the board in Dungarpur zila parishad, so we have decided to withdraw support ”, state party chairman Velaram Ghoghra he told PTI.
Ghoghra said that the hint about the withdrawal of support has been sent to the governor, the chief minister and the speaker of the Rajasthan assembly.
The party has two MLAs in the state and the withdrawal of support will have no impact on the stability of the congressional government, which has the support of 105 MLAs in the assembly of 200.
The BJP has 71 MLA, RLP 3, CPI (M) 2, BTP 2 and RLD 1. The state has 13 independent legislators and three seats are vacant.
