HPCL: Oil marketing actor Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) said on Wednesday that the board approved the proposed share buyback of 10 million rupees, or 6.56 percent equity stake, at 250 rupees per share. In another update, HPCL also posted a 290 percent year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 2,975.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30. It had posted a profit of Rs 761.65 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Adani Companies: Adani Enterprises reported on Wednesday a consolidated profit of Rs 435.73 crore for the second quarter ending in September. The company led by Gautam Adani had posted a consolidated loss of Rs 10.06 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

CANDLE: State-owned steelmaker Steel Authority of India reported 21% year-on-year growth in steel sales of 1.34mt during October.
Housing Financing PNB: With a capital fundraiser of approximately Rs.18 billion pending, PNB Housing Finance plans to repay its high-cost loans and will ask its lenders to improve interest rates as the company is constantly working to improve the parameters of profitability as well as enhancing the value proposition for investors, PTI reported citing CEO and CEO Hardayal Prasad.
Adani Gas: Adani Gas Ltd announced on Wednesday the acquisition of urban gas licenses for Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Kutch (East) from Jay Madhok Energy for an undisclosed sum of money.
Jubilant Lifesciences: Pharmaceutical company Jubilant Life Sciences reported a 10.13 percent decline in its consolidated net profit on Wednesday to Rs 224.12 crore for the quarter ended September, mainly due to higher taxes.
NMDC: State iron ore producer NMDC reported a 2 percent year-on-year drop in October production to 2.43 million tonnes due to challenges related to Covid and a strong monsoon, the company said in a statement.
Jindal Steel & Power: Jindal Power Ltd, a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power, emerged on Wednesday as the highest bidder for a large block of coal in Chhattisgarh, beating Adani Enterprises and Hindalco Industries.
