On Saturday, the opposition Congress accused the Center and the Delhi government of not being transparent in reporting on coronavirus cases.
Congressman Ajay Maken told reporters that there was “confusion” within the Center in his fight against Covid-19, and asked how India would address the pandemic if officials continued to speak in different voices.

Maken’s comments came in the context of confusion over the number of deaths from the coronavirus in the national capital, with data from four hospitals showing that 92 people had succumbed to infections compared to 68 deaths reported by the Delhi government. .
“It is shameful that the national capital is witnessing an unfortunate state of affairs in the fight against the pandemic,” said Maken.
He called for greater coordination between states and the central government, and urged the Center to explain a clear exit strategy for the Covid-19 national blockade.
