Borderlands 3 It has been a great success for Gearbox Software. It is definitely one of the best installments to date, with amazing vault hunters, nonstop looting action and compelling enemies. Like other Borderlands games, this latest installment also continues to receive updates.
Therefore, Borderlands fans always have something new and exciting to look forward to. The next content update is the Mayhem 2.0 introduction. You may remember the original Mayhem mode, which you can access by beating the base game. It has been a very popular mode for gamers who want an extra layer of difficulty for a chance at higher rewards.
Well, it seems that the developer is updating the mode to 2.0. It is expected to come out on April 23, which is only a couple of days away. So what is this mode and how will it be different from the original? Fortunately, we don’t have to wait until its release, as Gearbox has provided more details for interested Borderlands players.
According to the patch notes, Mayhem 2.0 is increasing the difficulty by a lot. There will be 25 new modifiers, each of which will be ranked by difficulty. Easy modifiers are great and will definitely aid your vault hunter in battle. However, as you begin to move towards the medium, hard, and very hard modifiers, you are paddling upriver without a paddle.
For example, some of the new modifiers will give your enemies the edge. It may be by providing other companions or more powerful weapons. You will have to be very careful how you approach battles depending on the modifier you choose to enable. The gearbox hasn’t left you completely helpless, thankfully.
There will be better weapon drops for the toughest modifiers. That should level the playing field a bit. Still, you can imagine how difficult the combat of some of the modifiers will be. If you think you are an advanced Borderlands player, Mayhem 2.0 seems to be the way for you. There will be great risk, but with greater risk comes greater reward. It will be interesting to see which players are trying to put their skills to the test in these more challenging battles.
This last mode is just another reason why Borderlands 3 continues to perform well in terms of player activity and sales figures. You constantly get new content that changes the game in some way. Even better, it doesn’t seem like Gearbox is going to stop anytime soon.
