Actress Rhea Chakraborty was harassed by the media while attempting to enter the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office on Sunday, despite being escorted by law enforcement personnel. Several celebrities have denounced the behavior of the media, calling it barbaric.
“Media vultures. The press is behaving in a barbarous way. There is no one in authority who can stop this,” Shibani Dandekar expressed his concern on Instagram Story.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta criticized the media for breaking social distancing rules amid the coronavirus pandemic. Mehta posted a video on a news channel of Rhea being harassed by dozens of media personnel, and was scathing in summing it up with two words: “Social distancing.”
Producer Manish Mundra tweeted: “This is absurd! This should never happen to anyone! This should end now. What are we turning our nation into? This is not how civilized society works. Justice is served, but then the Road to justice shouldn’t “look like this”.
