The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday registered a case against actors Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan for violating Covid-19 regulations.

Sohail Khan’s son, Nirvaan Khan, has also been mentioned in the case registered by the municipal body for violating Covid-19 guidelines.

According to a complaint filed by a BMC doctor, the trio – Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Nirvaan Khan – returned from Dubai on December 25 last year and went straight home without isolating themselves at a hotel. The whistleblower stated that the trio were asked to self-quarantine in a hotel under Covid-19 guidelines, but they went straight home.

They made a “false commitment” to self-quarantine at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai, but went to his home in Bandra, the author claimed.

Per BMC guidelines, the trio should have gone through a seven-day institutional quarantine. Therefore, an FIR has been registered against him, the sources said.

However, a BMC team later visited Sohail Khan’s home. Sohail confirmed that the trio had booked for quarantine at Taj Lands End, but went to their respective homes after their report at the airport was “negative.”
