BJP’s Operation Lotus is Expanding To Bring Down Thackeray

As Mumbai heads to become the world’s Number One Covid hotspot, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is the main opposition party in Maharashtra, has re-launched the “Operation Lotus” to overthrow the government of Uddhav Thckeray.

Senior sources have confirmed to me that Amit Shah, the Union Minister of the interior, has accelerated attempts to force an end to the Thackeray-Pawar-Congress government, which is struggling to contain the coronavirus pandemic in the financial capital of India.

Shah, known for a great approach in the solution of political scores, has a particularly large grudge against Thackeray for ending the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance management and, then, to outwit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis to come to power.

This morning, Pawar met with Uddhav Thackeray – supposed to be a balance of the session. Sources say that Pawar offered administrative assistance in the fight against public health emergency, expressed particular concern about the spread of the pandemic infection in Mumbai and warned that the BJP is trying to “destabilize” the government of the alliance. Pawar, a capricious ally, not expand on their own intentions.

Pawar has been sending mixed signals for a while about how invested remains in the ruling coalition. His close aide and senior party leader Praful Patel has publicly praised the union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal for his handling of the trains for migrant workers in Mumbai. This thumbs up was given even as Piyush Goyal publicly slugged with Uddhav Thackeray and the son, Aaditya Thackeray, on how the trains are being organized for the lakhs of the chain of workers.

Sanjay Raut, senior Sena leader, immediately took to Twitter to post the Pawar-Thackeray meet to say that all is well with the government. The repeated reiterations of the good health of the Thackeray-led government, Sena leaders has created a big fuss to the contrary. In the policy, at the time a rumor is officially denied, it gains real momentum.

The BJP, both at the centre and in Maharashtra, it is blatantly game of power politics in the time of a pandemic. The effort is visible. Goyal has publicly attacked Thackeray for alleging that Mumbai is not paying enough trains to take migrant at home. Thackeray Junior, in an interview to NDTV criticized the opposition for spreading misinformation and “hatred” in the social networks.

The infamous IS the cell of the BJP is running a well-organized systematic campaign against the Thackeray government, attacking daily in the spread of the coronavirus. Before this, a community-based campaign complete with hashtags was launched after two sadhus (holy men), were killed in Palghar last month, April 16. The Thackeray government made a great effort to establish that the murders were not communal.

The BJP’s spokespersons in the media, the Panna Pramukhsalso obedient, a campaign was launched in Palghar murders, attacking Thackeray and the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP has not reconciled with their status as former Chief Minister is attacking the Thackeray government on a daily basis, running around with the memoranda against the Governor, B S Koshyari, a former BJP member who unfailingly lends a sympathetic ear to Fadnavis.

The government of Modi has made it clear that you are not satisfied with the handling of the Covid crisis by the opposition-ruled states. So Maharashtra and West Bengal are routinely pointed out by the alleged wrong handling while the center does not offer comments in Bihar, Gujarat and are also unable to cope with the health emergency with efficiency. It is very clear that the center has a different point of reference to the BJP-ruled or BJP-allied states.

Annex B is Yogi Adityanath, the Head of the government of Uttar Pradesh, that is far saying that other states will need their permission to employ the workers from ABOVE. The statement is in clear violation of the constitution; the right to free movement is glossed over by the centre and the meek of the press.

The BJP has a big appetite for power, and overthrow governments. So is the Thackeray government in danger? The signal is amber, not flashing red. This will depend on Pawar, India’s canniest political, and Thackeray will remain in power. The Congress, in the third and junior partner in the alliance, are in a state of coma.

As the Covid crisis was building, the BJP ousted the Congress government of Madhya Pradesh. The operation of Lotus in Maharashtra, which is in a good way. To stop flowering will require Pawar insight – unless he is also considering the possibility of a switch.
