In 2010, RJD’s Dr. Faiyaj Ahmad won this seat by defeating JDU’s Hari Bhushan Thakur by a margin of 9,501 votes, representing 8.25% of the constituency’s total votes. RJD had a voting share of 40.98% in 2010 on the seat.
