BJP will have a hard time crossing double digits in West Bengal, says Prashant Kishor; BJP Strikes Back | India News

CALCUTTA: A war of words broke out between survey strategist Prashant Kishor and the National Secretary General of BJP Kailash Vijayvargiya after the first predicted that the BJP will have a hard time crossing “double digits” in West Bengal Surveys.
Prashant Kishor, who was cordoned off by the Trinamool Congress led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the west bengal Assembly elections of 2021, he also indicated that he will leave Twitter if the BJP performs better in the state than his prediction.
“Despite all the AMPLIFIED hype by a supporting media section, actually BJP will have a hard time CROSSING DOUBLE DIGITS in #WestBengal. PS Please save this tweet and if BJP does any better I must get out of this space! ! ” Kishor tweeted.

In response to Prashant Kishor, Kailash Vijayvargiya commented that the country will lose an electoral strategist after its part forms the government in the state after the next elections in the state.
“There is a BJP tsunami in Bengal. After we form the government, the country will have to lose an electoral strategist,” Vijayvargiya tweeted.
The development comes a day after the two-day visit of the Union Interior Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah to West Bengal.
West Bengal is scheduled to go to the Assembly elections in mid-2021. Dates have not yet been announced.
BJP had surprised the Trinamool Congress in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls when it snatched 18 parliamentary constituencies, earning its best performance in the state.
After the historic Lok Sabha demonstration, the party considers winning the next Assembly elections crucial and wants to send a strong message to the opposition by winning the state.
