A poll was launched on October 1 and 25 Lok Sabha MPs were shortlisted on the basis of nominations received in their favor. The top 10 deputies were then identified based on field interviews and comments from the respective constituencies.

A statement from GovernEye said a total of 33,82,560 valid nominations for 512 Lok Sabha MPs were received between October 1, 2020 and October 15, 2020.
“The results do not reveal the stories of courage and selflessness from these MPs that our teams heard during their conversations with people from various constituencies. Despite all the negative publicity our elected representatives receive, we do not hear the stories of how some MPs and their teams risked their personal safety to serve their constituencies, ”Manjunath Keri, senior project leader of the survey team, said in a release.
