With the BJP stating that the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) is not part of the NDA in Bihar, opposition leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday did an indirect dig on the party describing it as a BJP “B-team” and a ” vote divider “.
Without giving the name of the LJP or its chairman Chirag Paswan, Tejashwi asked voters at their rallies in Mokama, Sheikhpura, Jamui and Nawada to be wary of the BJP “B team”. “Everyone should be careful with the BJP team. They are vote katwas (vote dividers), ”said Tejashwi, indirectly referring to the LJP.
He also mocked Prime Minister Nitish Kumar for the latter’s repeated attacks on the RJD by describing his rule for 15 years as a “misrule” and stating that the “era of the lantern” (the lantern is the symbol of the RJD poll ) in Bihar has already passed. . He called it an attempt by the strongman of JD (U) to keep his electoral narrative focused on his 15-year development model versus the 15-year RJD government.

“Prime Minister Nitish Kumar says the era of lanterns is over. I want to tell you that the age of the arrow (JD (U) survey symbol) has also ended. Missiles have now replaced arrows. This is an era of missiles, ”he said, making an indirect inference about how people were also tired of the CM Kumar government for its inaction and wanted a replacement to enter modernity. In many meetings in the recent past, Tejashwi had said that CM Kumar had grown tired and could not handle the state. Tejashwi cited how the state was plagued by unemployment, poverty and migration.
Hours earlier, the 31-year-old Yadav scion began his campaign with his first meeting in Mokama, where he petitioned for the party’s candidate and strongman Anant Singh, who is incarcerated in various criminal cases at Beur jail in Patna. He is charged under the UAPA (Illicit Activity (Prevention) Act) after recovering sophisticated weapons and ammunition last year.
Reports say that Tejashwi did not name Singh in his election speech, but restricted his speech more to making promises. “People should give us the opportunity to serve for the next five years. I promise to employ 10 lakh youths in government with my first signature upon coming to power. We will also implement the same pay, the same labor practices for the hired teachers, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers, ”he said.

Tejashwi also promised that the old pension for the beneficiaries would be raised from 400 to 1,000 rupees if his party assumes power.
The Mokama constituency is dominated by caste men from the MLA Singh, Bhumihars, as well as Yadavs and other CBOs. Singh is a four-time MLA from Mokama and competing for the fifth time from his traditional seat.
Singh’s wife, Neelam Devi, who had unsuccessfully contested the last parliamentary elections since Munger’s seat, and also submitted her nomination papers from Mokama’s seat this time before withdrawing him, was present on the stand with Tejashwi, according to the reports. Singh’s candidacy as a RJD nominee has given the ruling JD (U) and the BJP ammunition to accuse the main opposition party of promoting politicians turned politicians.
In addition, the main RJD ministerial candidate also criticized the prime minister, accusing him of betraying the mandate of the people in 2015 by realigning himself with the BJP in 2017. “Our paltu chacha (renegade) not only betrayed the mandate of the Grand Alliance government, it also misled the government. people of the state, ”he said at the rallies.
