Shiromani Akali Dal Chairman Sukhbir Singh Badal said on Tuesday that “the BJP is the real ‘tukde tukde’ gang in the country today.” The former BJP ally said the saffron party is “splitting the country into pieces by pitting one community against another. So desperate is he for power that he has no scruples about taking the path of communal polarization and setting the country on fire. “
Speaking to journalists in Bathinda, Sukhbir Badal said: “The BJP first turned the Hindus against the Muslims. Now, he’s determined to repeat that evil game and reenact the same tragedy in Punjab. Conspiring to turn our peace loving Hindu brothers in Punjab against their Sikh brothers, with whom they have shared strong blood ties for centuries. The BJP wants to replace those blood ties with bloodshed ”.
Badal said the BJP “has been resorting to dangerous conspiracy theories to sabotage the hard-won atmosphere of communal peace and harmony just for the realization of small political goals.”
Speaking of agricultural laws, he said: “These have been created by those who never cultivated and now they are teaching the benefits of these laws to farmers. People from AAP have also entered the fold of BJP. “
Badal said that the entire country, except the BJP, gratefully acknowledges the debt we owe to our patriotic peasants and soldiers. “The BJP is causing people to deny that debt. He is still so ungrateful to the farmers that he paints them as anti-nationals. Today they are farmers. Nobody knows, the BJP could even say the same of the soldiers tomorrow if it suits them. “
Later, in a statement issued from SAD headquarters in Chandigarh, Sukhbir Badal said: “SAD considers it their national duty to warn compatriots against BJP’s desperate and destructive game plan in Punjab. This party is so desperate for power that it has no qualms about making the Punjabis thirsty for each other’s blood and destroying the fabric of unity and brotherly love that the great Guru Sahiban and great saints and seers like Kabir Sahib have left us. . Baba Farid ji, Jaidev ji, Namdev ji and others. “
