Kahalgaon (Bihar):
There may be a debate about the scale of development Bihar has seen under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but no one can point the finger at it on corruption, Defense Minister Rajnath said on Wednesday, calling the BJP and Janata Dal-United ( JDU) a “superhit” Association as the inaugural pair of cricket stars Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.
In attacking the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Singh said that the people had witnessed his 15-year term and can see the difference between his “misrule” and the good governance of the Nitish Kumar-led coalition government.
Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district ahead of the assembly elections that start on October 28, Singh said: “The alliance of the BJP and JD (U) is as superhit as the inaugural Sachin couple and Sehwag of the Indian cricket team. “
He said the government has provided basic electricity, road and water facilities, which Bihar lacked for decades.
“People have seen the 15-year rule of ‘lalten’ and have also seen the development of Bihar during the government of the BJP-JD (U) alliance. The performance of these two governments cannot be compared. The state transformed under the government of the NDA, “Singh said, referring to the flashlight symbol from the RJD survey.
Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy and BJP leader Sushil Modi, Singh said there are no corruption charges against him.
“I am not claiming that Nitish Kumar has done everything for Bihar. It could be debated whether he has done enough work or less work or required to do more, but there can be no debate on his integrity,” Singh said. He said.
Pointing to the RJD, Singh, speaking in the local Bhojpuri language, said “lalten” has cracked and its oil has leaked and nothing will work now.
Speaking about soldiers from the Bihar Regiment who sacrificed their lives during a violent clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh along the Royal Line of Control (LAC) earlier this year, Singh said that he is grateful to the people of the state for their courage.
“Everyone knows what happened in the Galwan Valley, it was the soldiers of the Bihar Regiment who saved the pride of our homeland. They sacrificed their lives and I thank everyone for their sacrifice,” Singh said.
Elections for the 243-member Bihar assembly will be held in three phases – October 28, November 3 and November 7 – and the vote count will take place on November 10.
The combined BJP-JDU faces a challenge from the “Grand Alliance” of RJD, Congress and left-wing parties.
