BJP Criticizes Congress For Introducing Former AMU President, Calling Him A Jinnah Supporter

The BJP criticized Congress for presenting the former president of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) student union, Maskoor Ahmad Usmani, as its candidate from the Jale assembly constituency in Bihar’s Darbhanga, and alleged that the big party he backed a “Jinnah supporter.”

A native of Goroul village, under the Darbhanga subdivision in Benipur, Usmani made headlines when he justified a portrait of Jinnah inside the AMU student union office.

Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh attacked Congress for Usmani on Friday. “The leaders of Congress and Mahagathbandhan have to answer to the country if Jale’s candidate supports Jinnah. Do Congress and Mahagathabndhan have to say whether they also support Jinnah? ” I ask.

Inside Congress, Rishi Mishra, grandson of former Union Minister LN Mishra, tweeted: “This is a cruel joke. I left JD (U) to compete with Jale. It would have been nice if someone else had a fine, but they gave it to a Jinnah follower who has a sedition case against him. He puts Jinnah’s photo in his office. “
