The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) party of former Bihar Prime Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi clarified on Friday that it will continue to support the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state led by Prime Minister and President of Janata Dal (United), Nitish Kumar.
“We want to make it clear that we will stay with the NDA. Our leader Jitan Ram Manjhi has clearly said that Hindustani Awam Morcha fought in the elections under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, we were with him and we will stay with him, ”the party told the ANI news agency.
The statement comes a day after HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi was elected leader of his four-member legislative party. While interacting with the media later, Manjhi advised newly elected congressional legislators to join the NDA for the advancement of the state.
Nitish Kumar’s development plans are not very different from those of Congress. In addition, he has stayed away from many issues that are not of interest to the State. So you can join us in the NDA and contribute to the development of the state, ”he said.
