The launch of season 8 of Bigg Boss Kannada begins. The opening night will be marked by a grand event consisting of various dance and song performances. Kannada movie star Kichcha Sudeep returns as the host of the show for all eight seasons and introduces the contestants.
The show’s director, Parameshwar Gundkal, revealed that they have shortlisted up to 17 contestants to enter the house on opening night. At least that’s the plan. With the show happening under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic, showrunners are prepared for surprises. All selected contestants have been quarantined for the past two weeks and subjected to multiple RT-PCR tests. Contestants will be tested for coronavirus a third time, and only those who test negative will enter the show. Therefore, the number of contestants entering the show on opening night can vary.
Following in the footsteps of the Hindi version of Bigg Boss, the showrunners will also allow fans of Bigg Boss Kannada to stream on Voot Select for 24 hours. The live broadcast will be available Monday through Friday.
The showrunners also plan to have a digital replica of the house to provide an interactive experience for the audience. The audience will be able to access all corners of the space virtually.

Bigg Boss Kannada 8 will air on Sunday starting at 6 PM. The show will air on Colors Kannada and the audience will also be able to broadcast live on Voot.
