New details have emerged about the blockade-themed season of the reality show Bigg Boss. The show’s fourteenth season will be hosted by actor Salman Khan and will reportedly begin on October 3.
According to a report by Indian Express, the season will be themed on blocking the coronavirus. The report quoted a source as saying: “During the shutdown, people have missed certain activities, be it shopping, eating out or watching movies. As part of the fancy assignments, contestants could win a chance to enjoy them at Bigg Boss 14’s house. As Salman Khan said in the teaser videos, this would be an appropriate response to 2020. “
A recent Colors TV statement, posted along with a picture of Salman cleaning the floor, read: “Salman says that everyone is bored of going from home to work. But no phikar no, as life is about to change with the energetic entertainment of Bigg Boss coming to rescue them. “

The report says that contestants will receive luxuries they used to enjoy in pre-Covid times, such as visits to the mall, watching movies at the cinema and going to restaurants. A recently published promo for the new season showed Salman sitting in a movie theater. He said with a voiceover: “Ab scene paltega.”
Nia Sharma, Pavitra Punia, Akanksha Puri, Nishant Malkani, Eijaz Khan, Naina Singh, Kumar Janu and Vivian Dsena can participate in the new season. Meanwhile, actors Adhyayan Suman, Chahat Pandey, filmmaker Onir and model-turned-actor Rajeev Sen have all denied being part of the show.
