Australia Tour of India: The All India Senior Selection Committee met by video conference on Monday to select the Indian cricket team for the upcoming Tour of Australia. The India team will participate in three T20I, three ODI and four test matches against Australia. In a major setback for India, Rohit Sharma has not been included in any roster.

The selection committee meeting to select the Indian team for the Australia tour finally takes place today. However, if he’s not available for bowling on the Australia tour, Pandya is likely to be ignored by the 50s and test sides. In the absence of options, Vijay Shankar, who has done well in recent IPL games, and Shivam Dube can reach the limited teams.
Injuries are a major concern for selectors when selecting teams for the Australian tour
The main problem before the selectors will be the aptitude of the players. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma are already out of IPL 2020 due to injuries and are likely to be left out of the Australia tour as well.

Amid all the injuries and worries, Mumbai Indians SuryaKumar Yadav are likely to cheer. You will finally be able to see in the limited overs squad after performing consistently over the years. The good news will also knock on the doors of Mohammad Siraj, who has revealed his heart for RCB at the ongoing IPL. Siraj is likely to be chosen for all 3 squads. The selectors are likely to try out their other India ‘A’ teammates such as Sandeep Warrier & Ishan Porel or Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti, rather than the injured pacemakers.
For the role of wicketkeeping in the 3 squads, KL Rahul & Rishabh Pant will be the first and second choice of the selectors. For the third wicketkeeper of the team, it will be between Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan.
