Bharti Singh-Haarsh Limbachiyaa arrested by NCB: TV colleagues react, express shock – bollywood

News of the arrest of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with their drug-related investigation came as a shock to many. Both Singh and Limbachiyaa have accepted the use of ganja (cannabis), NCB. it said in a statement. On Saturday, NCB raided the production office and the comedian’s home, recovering 86.5 grams of ganja from both locations. We reached out to your colleagues in the television industry to find out how they are responding to this recent development in this drug investigation that had previously rocked the film industry.

Raju Srivastava

I have worked a lot with Bharti. I was surprised when I first found out about his arrest and thought it was false. Then when the news channels contacted me, I said maybe a drug dealer named Bharti to implicate her, but then they told me that she had confessed. I was shocked and sad. This is like an accusation to our entire brotherhood of comedians, if we are to perform anywhere now, people will look at us with doubt: “Raju iss age mein bhi dhamaal kar raha hai”, our number will decrease.

I worked with her on the final episode of an action reality show a few years ago and have run into her here and there. I think he has an immense talent. With that said, I don’t know much about the case so I would avoid commenting too much. And I would like to believe that it is not like after Bollywood, now television is the next target. The idea is to cleanse society of this drug threat and it has nothing to do with your profession or line of work. But I am against this exaggeration and judgment on the part of a certain section of the media about celebrities. I feel like celebrities are an easy target.

Subuhii Joshii

The news was quite shocking. I worked with her on a comedy reality show. She is extremely talented. I think after Bollywood, now the focus is on the television industry. But not only in our industry, even abroad, drugs are used and I think it is time that the problem was addressed. While our society must cleanse itself of the threat of drugs, I also believe that attention has now been diverted from the Sushant Singh Rajput case since it all began. Some of those who were fighting for his justice seem to have moved on … I just hope that in the midst of all this we can close Sushant’s case as well.

Suresh Menon

There is a psyche in our country regarding drug use, and it is a personal choice if one wants to use drugs and alcohol, I firmly believe that none of these are good for health and weaken the physique. The news about Bharti was shocking, and I’m not being a shocked prude here ki ‘aise kaise hua’, it’s kind of sad that years of reputation… it’s not worth it at the end of the day. Having said that, there is no need to disparage or condemn it for its use. It doesn’t make her a bad person from any angle, nor does it take away her talent.

Karan patel

It was just a reality show that I did with her, I don’t know anything else about her beyond that. It is strictly their personal matter. I am not aware of what he does in his life. I don’t want to comment much on that. I don’t think the following is a question of targeting the television industry. Letting the case take its own course is all I would like to say.
