The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested comedian Bharti Singh on Saturday following the seizure of ganja (cannabis) from her home in the suburbs of Andheri, an official said. The NCB searched Singh’s home and office in the morning as part of its investigation into the alleged use of drugs in the Hindi film industry. A team conducted a search of Singh’s residence at the Lokhandwala Complex, as well as his production house, based on an advisory and recovered 86.5 grams of ganja during the search.

YouTuber Rashid Siddiquee has objected to the defamation notice issued against him by actor Akshay Kumar in connection with the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput and refused to pay Rs 500 million in damages requested by the star, saying that there was nothing defamatory about his videos. Siddiquee has also urged Akshay Kumar to withdraw the notification, otherwise it would initiate “appropriate legal proceedings” against the actor.
