State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a warning to its account holders to beware of imminent cyber attack. Warning customers about the attack, India’s largest lender tweeted, “Dhyan! What to do if you get such malicious emails
- Do not open attachments in unsolicited emails, even if they come from people in your contact list and never click on the URL included in an unsolicited email.

- Take care when opening an e-mail attachment even if an attachment is required, and let the sender know.
- Scan and remove suspicious e-mail attachments; Ensure that the scanned attachment is its “correct file type” (ie the extension matches the file header).
- Be careful about spelling errors in phishing domains, emails, websites, and those sending unfamiliar emails.
- Beware of e-mails, Kovid-19 links providing special offers such as tests, help, win prizes, prizes, cashback offers. “
- Check the integrity of the URL before providing logging credentials or clicking on the link.
- Do not submit personal information to unknown and unfamiliar websites.
- Consider using a safe browsing tool, a filtering tool, in your anti-virus, firewall and filtering services.
- Update spam filter with latest spam mail content. Any unusual activity or attack should be reported immediately to @ cert-in.org.in.
