Bangalore:

The Bengaluru Central Crime Division, which is investigating the Karnataka drug abuse case involving Kannada film actors, today raided the luxurious bungalow of Aditya Alva, son of the former minister and late Jeevaraj Alva in the city.

Aditya Alva, who is charged in the case, has been missing since CCB agents launched a crackdown on drug trafficking in Bengaluru, targeting rave parties, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.

So far there have been cases against 15 people in the case and nine have been arrested, police sources told the PTI news agency.

In a statement, the CCB said that “a search warrant was obtained and searches were carried out at Aditya Alva’s house near Hebbal called ‘House of Life’.”

The police team raided the house with a pool right next to Lake Hebbal and searched the premises.

The bungalow is spread over four acres and is allegedly used by Aditya Alva to host parties, the Press Trust of India reported.

Those arrested in the case include film actors Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjjanaa Galrani, party organizer Viren Khanna, real estate agent Rahul, and an RTO employee BK Ravishankar.

The CCB took up the matter after the Bureau of Narcotics Control arrested three people, including a woman with a huge cache of synthetic drugs, who were allegedly supplying them to Kannada movie actors and actresses.
