Calcutta:
The new internal reorganization of the BJP has not gone very well with all the troops. Rahul Sinha, one of the party’s longest-serving leaders in West Bengal, could not contain his resentment on Saturday at being replaced as national secretary general by a former deputy from the Trinamool Congress while another defector from the ruling party Mukul Roy was promoted.
“For 40 years I have served the BJP as a soldier. I have to step aside because a leader of the Trinamool Congress is coming; there can be nothing more unfortunate than this reward for serving the BJP since its birth,” he said in a video message. on Twitter: in both Hindi and Bengali, just in case.
I won’t say anything more about this. I don’t want to say anything for or against the reward I have received from the party. What I have to say I will say in 10 to 12 days and decide my future. course of action, “Sinha said.

Anupam Hazra, who replaced Sinha as general secretary, said: “Mr. Sinha may have felt hurt and I will speak to him as soon as possible. There are ups and downs in life. I am sure you will understand.”
Hazra was a Trinamool deputy from Bolpur since 2014, but suspended by the party in January 2019. He joined the BJP and was selected from the prestigious Jadavpur headquarters in Kolkata. He lost the seat to Trinamool’s Mimi Chakraborty.
One of the key architects of the BJP’s astonishing advancements in Bengal in recent years, the Mukul Roy promotion underwent the first party shakeup under new chairman JP Nadda, who was elected unopposed and replaced Amit Shah in January. .
As an ordinary member of the BJP’s national executive, Mr. Roy has been appointed one of the party’s national vice-presidents just before the West Bengal assembly elections to be held next year. The elevation coincided with the pink note for Mr. Sinha.
The move came amid speculation that Roy was in talks with his former party and was even contemplating a comeback. In recent weeks, there have been reports that Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh and Mukul Roy fell out at a party meeting in Delhi during discussions on the strategy and prospects for the polls.
One of the founding members of the Trinamool Congress, Mr. Roy resigned in October 2017 after differences with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Mukul Roy’s son Subhrangshu, who was a member of the Trinamool military justice, joined the BJP in May last year after being suspended by Ms. Banerjee.
The BJP reorganization also saw high-level leaders such as Ram Madhav, P Muralidhar Rao, and Anil Jain being replaced, while others such as Tejasvi Surya, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and Vasundhara Raje obtained new appointments.
