Before the uproar of the three-day Congress, Rawat meets Sidhu: The Tribune India

Amritsar, October 1

Amid reports of Congressional Leader Navjot Singh Sidhu entering the mainstream ahead of the Punjab tour proposed by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, AICC Secretary General Harish Rawat held a meeting behind closed doors with Sidhu at his residence here tonight.

Earlier, after paying tribute at the Golden Temple, Rawat said that Sidhu was an integral part of the festival and would continue to be so in the future.

When asked about Sidhu’s absence from party programs, especially due to his reported differences with Commander Captain Amarinder Singh, Rawat said that Sidhu would participate with “full zeal” in future party programs.

“There were no serious differences. I, as an older brother, would love to work out the differences, if there are any. We are friends and part of the same family, ”he said. About Sidhu who was holding a rally in Amritsar without Congressional flags, he said: “When you see him on the party program, he will carry Congressional flags in both hands.” – TNS
