Actress Kangana Ranaut has responded after the Bombay High Court ruled that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) action to demolish part of her bungalow in September was “caused by bad faith” and was a complete disregard of their rights. He also annulled the demolition order approved by a civic body duty officer.
Kangana thanked his followers for their support and wrote: “When an individual opposes the government and wins, it is not the victory of the individual but the victory of democracy. Thanks to all who gave me courage and thanks to those who laughed at my broken dreams. It’s just because you play a villain so I can be a HERO. “
A bench in the division of judges SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla noted that the action taken by the civic body leaves little “some form of doubt” that it was not authorized. The bank said the action began after Kangana compared Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir. In this sense, the magistrate must ignore the irresponsible statements of an individual, however unpleasant they may be, and no action can be taken against said individual by resorting to the colorful exercise of power and causing damage to that individual or his property on the part of the entity. State or any of its instrumentalities.
Court also asked the actor to show restraint when commenting on other people on social media and otherwise.
