BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Admitted to Kolkata Hospital with Heart Problem


Sourav Ganguly was rushed to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata after falling ill this morning while working out in his residence gym.

The Cricket Control Board in President Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after complaining of a heart problem on Saturday morning.

Ganguly was rushed to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata after falling ill this morning while exercising in his residence gym. Boria Majumdar of India Today confirmed that the former captain of India will be discharged on Saturday after undergoing angioplasty.

“He felt dizzy when he was in the gym and went to Woodlands for tests. That’s when it came to light that he had a heart problem and the hospital has now created a 3-member board with Dr. Saroj Mondal, who conducts the procedure. @ SGanguly99 recover soon, “Boria tweeted.

Ganguly was recently in New Delhi for the unveiling of the statue of the late Arun Jaitley at the Delhi cricket stadium, formerly known as Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, on the 68th anniversary of the birth of the former finance minister and head of the Cricket Association of Delhi and Districts.

Before that, he was in Ahmedabad to attend the BCCI’s annual general meeting which was held on December 24. He had chaired the meeting at which a number of key announcements were made.
